Bentonite contains a Hydrated Aluminium Silicate clay mineral responsible for its sealing and lubrication properties. Natural bentonite is classified by the predominant balancing cation, normally sodium or calcium. All applications of bentonite rely on its reaction with water. Sodium bentonite bonding properties occur in the early stage of water absorption approximating its plastic limit of 50% to 70%. When mixed at low concentration in water, our sodium bentonite exhibits a stable thinning behaviour.

Agriculture
Bentonite improves soil quality by enhancing water retention and nutrient absorption. It reduces fertilizer loss and supports healthier crop growth.
Building and Construction
Bentonite is widely used for waterproofing, sealing, and as a binding material. Its swelling properties make it effective in preventing water leakage.
Civil Engineering
Bentonite is applied in diaphragm walls, tunneling, and foundation works to stabilize soil and support excavation. It provides excellent lubrication and ground support.
Drilling and Foundry
Bentonite is used as drilling mud in oil, gas, and water well drilling to cool and lubricate drill bits. In foundry applications, it acts as a binding agent in moulding sand for metal casting.
